On a dull day in 2019 I switched on the computer to edit the completed manuscript of my latest novel. Excited to be finally sending it to the publisher I clicked on ‘Word’, and saw – Nothing.
My heart skipped a beat. Ringing the computer ‘boffs’ at the shop I had purchased my machine from, he searched every avenue they could think -Nothing.
My manuscript was lost.
I sat in front of my computer, drained of emotion, unable to cry, scream, or swear – I had lost 500 pages of work.
Two days past, not one computer key was pressed, then from across my desk a voice said – “Try again, change it, let it show how defeat can turn into victory”
I sat, drank coffee, stared at the screen – then little by little a story began emerging from the fog of my brain –
The Double Edged Sword.
My journey toward my second ‘Rhia Bryant’ novel was alive – running toward publication day.
